Greetings! My husband and I joined TH in 2019 when my husband retired, and we celebrated with a trip to Italy, leaving our 2 beloved feline littermates, Daphne and Dexter, with a Trusted Housesitter. Following that great experience, we have used TH at least 4 more times.

We rescued Daphne and Dexter from a shelter when they were about 6 months old, and over the past 12 years, they have stolen our hearts. Whether these littermates are romping through the house, enjoying being brushed and petted, or simply napping, they light up our lives.

We live in coastal New Hampshire in a lovely town where we hike, play pickleball, golf (my husband), enjoy local music and theater, and take walks–in all seasons–on our beautiful nearby beaches (7-8 mi). We’re close to great destinations like Portsmouth, NH, and Newburyport, MA.

I worked in the NH publishing arm of a large Chicago-based children’s magazine company as the company’s educational marketing specialist. My husband retired from his long career as the regional New England sales representative for a Swiss industrial products manufacturer.

While we dream of doing sits, it’s challenging to find a sitter for our cats to then sit for other’s pets, so we’ve only done 1 so far.

Recently, our cat Daphne was diagnosed with diabetes, but all is going well, and being the sweet girl she is, the insulin injections 2x daily are not a problem. We sincerely hope that this will not be a problem for us as we search for a sitter for a 12 Feb - 18 March 2023.
