Oct. 2022:

I am now back in Australia after my 6+ month travel adventure couchsurfing and pet sitting around Europe, Ireland and the UK. I have cared for a number of absolutely wonderful animals all over the place. It was a great experience for all of us I felt and it seems my hosts felt similarly. Now back in Australia, I have been doing a few sits - one for three plus months. Hoping to be able to settle down a little in 2023 before travelling again.

I have had probably six careers and within that time including 9+ years living in China, working into Europe, US and Japan, been a hospital orderly, electorate officer, an urban farm manager and, much earlier, a farmer growing small crops (vegetables) together with two beautiful dogs (cross bred Alsatian and a Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel (the latter’s coat not really not designed for farm life but we managed), a house cow who was addicted to tomatoes - she would literally attempt to climb into the back of the utility after harvest - and poultry.

I have had two wonderful dogs in the last 25 years as well as two pet geese and prior to all that, interspersed with 9 years at sea, grew up on a dairy farm where looking after a wide variety of animals - dogs, cats, cattle, horses, chooks, geese and injured birds was what life was all about.

So, in terms of animals and plants, I have had a pretty broad range of caring experience.
