I’m Gillian, and

I work remotely as a writer, editor, and writing coach. I help authors of memoir and nonfiction make their book ideas a reality.

I was born in the Northeastern US and lived in Hawaii for over 20 years, with a stint in Chicago along the way.

I’ve been sitting on THS full-time for six of the past 7 years, meaning I am fully nomadic, though these days I only sit places I can drive to.

I am American, with dual US/UK citizenship and a lot of family in England. I’d love to spend a whole summer in the UK, but I’m wary of driving there, so I’ll need to be near public transit and walkable to a town.

I’ve housesat throughout the Northeastern and Southeastern US, Seattle, Montreal, the Costa del Sol in Spain, and Paris. I especially love sitting for cats and small dogs in rural places where I can hike in the woods. Waterfalls are a big draw for me. I also used to be a homeowner, and I’ve had friends sit for my cats in Hawaii.
