Recently retired to Depoe Bay, OR after 30+ years in the Veterinary field. Small business owner for decades. Married with 2 adult children. Currently have 2 small dogs and 2 cats. We miss our labs but life and travel is easier with small dogs. All pets are rescues or relinquished to ER hospital. And we are at our lowest number in decades One cat, Trudy Boy, is on a chewable pill daily. The dogs are on fish oil capsule put into their food bowls once daily, in the morning. Our little terrier, DJ, wears panties in the house due to marking. Our second cat, Ricky Ricardo, is extremely shy and hides when strangers are in the house. And our most exuberant and friendly Boston/Pug is aptly named Cannonball! She would lick you to death if allowed. The dogs are penned at night and when leaving the house due to both of them urine marking. They love their large pen and it is no trouble to have them kennel up. The dogs love to eat the cat food so we feed Trudy Boy with the door closed or while the dogs are outside. Ricky jumps up on the counter to eat his food and it’s left out all the time for him. All pets get a spoonful of canned food in the mornings. Dogs are walked once daily unless very rainy outside. They have a small fenced area right out the front door where they will urinate and defecate. But they love their walks
The house is easy to care for. the guest room has it’s own bath next door (not attached). Also has a TV and a very comfy bed. There is a gas fireplace in the living room. One of my favorite hobbies is cooking so there is an extremely well-stocked kitchen with great appliances.
Our view is oceanfront and stunning. We watch gray whales eating off of our decks quite frequently. Depoe Bay is called the “Whale Watching Capital of Oregon!” The town is walking distance with excellent restaurants. It’s extremely safe and friendly.
