Advice on writing a '3-star review' for a 5-star sitter

If you open the link that @Silversitters posted, you can read the words that i quoted Obviously, not all HOs comply with all terms.

@Marion Honestly, I would never have imagined a HO would use exterior cameras in this manner, but it was indeed on a THS forum that one said so. They stated they turn off alerts while away, so it’s not being used for its purpose of security, but instead review footage afterwards. And the example they pointed out was to see if the S/G was gone longer than expected. Yeah, one HO, but that’s just one admitting it on this forum.

I get HO’s are nervous. I get their are S/G that don’t act in accordance. But this is a site with Trusted in the title. And my main point, which I’ve stated repeatedly, is the HO’s should just state they have cameras and also what they are using cameras for. Reviewing footage afterwards just seems petty and creepy to me. I work in media so I think this is something extremely regulated in my world.

Okay, if this was done as a routine thing, that’s creepy. Again, I could understand looking through footage if something clearly went very wrong – eg signs of a third party, stuff missing, signs of neglect/abuse of pets. If a homeowner disclosed to me that they would be going through footage, I probably wouldn’t take the sit. Per my earlier post, I think knowing there is a camera – or nosy neighbors – I’d be more likely to let a homeowner know in advance if I expected to be out for longer than normal or agreed upon.

As the OP did the review a week ago, perhaps this thread can now be closed @Carla or @Jenny.
