I have asked THS, to include postcodes in their system, but to date, they still have not. Another site that I am also a member of, the HO does list their postcode, which makes it very easy for me to use, to find out other places I want to visit, which enables me a very close proximity, travel wise, and it also gives me a much clearer picture, of how long it may take me to get to the next sit, that I’m going to, so THS, if you’re reading my text, please, please include postcodes on your system, so that HOs can include them in their introduction.
@popeye Postcodes might be useful for that purpose in some countries (like UK), but not useful at all in some (like Finland or Thailand).
I think there was a discussion about postcodes a while ago and the consensus was (as others on this thread have said) that this might be a solution for UK sits but not for others. I would suggest that owners be asked to identify a couple of local landmarks - perhaps the nearest public transport or town together with distance and some other identifying feature i.e. 10 miles/kilometers south west of xx for example.
Do the homeowners get to select which of their uploaded photos will be the ‘main’ or ‘cover’ photo on their post?
If so, WHY in the WORLD do some select a blurry photo of a cluttered bathroom or similar?!
It always cracks me up.
@Rhe Yes, the HO can select the ‘cover’ picture. It’s actually really easy! You just tick a box ‘cover photo’ for your chosen pic. So no, I don’t understand those weird choises either!
Personally, i would use this lack of supplied information as a reason to reject and move on.
An easy way of shortlisting in my opinion.
Just done it tonight, one listing had no photos of the house, either indoor or outdoor, which raised red flags.
