It’s a violation not to disclose to the sitters that there’s a camera indoors. As a solo woman traveler, it’s incredibly invasive and creepy.
It’s a violation to HAVE a camera on indoors disclosed or not.
To me this is just a story about Canada and the helpful guy at the dump to polite to tell him it’s a hopeless task so he helps him with the scooper. But what do I know? I’m just an American looking at a country to the North and wishing I had immigrated when they would have taken me!
Unfortunately, the non-paywall version of the story mostly skips how the couple used their car cams and outdoor house cams to pinpoint when she lost the rings. Without those cameras, they had no idea when the rings went missing and would never have been able to find them.
I’m a male sitter and I find it creepy an uncomfortable, too!
Fair point! No one should have to feel creeped out by cameras.
