Anyone wanted to quit in the middle of a sit?

So sorry you have to endure this. Garfield is spot-on! = Kibble in the garden is the ultimate time-creator! Slow eating bowls are great - and don’t forget the lick-mats, which can sometimes take over an hour for most dogs to finish. If they are allowed it, you can fill with treats such as paté, then freeze. These have saved my life and I’ve ordered from Temu once during a sit…

I hate to do it during a sit with dogs, but I will use my noise-cancelling headsets, if I’m that spent, just to recharge for an hour.

As everyone here says, leave an honest review so that others in our community know what they’re getting into. Some jobs really should be paid jobs, this sounds like one of them. Hope you’re getting some sleep now!

@PHR Thank you so much! These are great tips! And I totally agree, some sits should be paid. I’ve seen listings where they’re asking for a sitter who’s well versed in puppy training. That’s the kind of stuff you pay money for.

We know what we’re signing up for in most cases, then sometimes, sadly, we really have no idea! And there’s so little we can do, because we have committed to the duration.

Hi @livinglife2 - just checking in to see how you’re doing. Are you still on the sit? Let us know how you are :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for checking in, Jenny! I completed the sit. The second week was much better than the first, once I knew better how to handle it, thanks to great advice from other members here and my own ability to adapt. You learn new things every time!
