Great to hear you managed to get out of that horrendous situation and good luck with your search for a replacement sit.
Such a shame that you will be unable to leave a review and future sitters can only hope the HO isn’t allowed to continue advertising on the site.

Glad to hear you got out of this situation. Those HOs definitely should not be on THS. Even looking at this with the very kindest lens, their requirements in the home are extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for an exchange site.

Same here, had to look up what bird spikes were, and am DISGUSTED. What’s wrong with people!? @MyrCar: hope THS removed the homeowners, and I totally feel for you… because we too are full time housesitters, and finding an accomodation for those unexpected “in between days” is a daunting task.

Have you had a look in the surrounding counties as there are literally hundreds of sits in the UK right now that need sitters? You may already know this but with FlixBus, National Express, Split Journey and the Trainline app it’s not very expensive to get out of the big smoke and out to prettier climes…#englishcountrysidebeckons

Yeah, I’ve been moving around the country for a while and have had to face lots of last-minute train cancellations, which makes arriving at a specific time a bit challenging. Now, we need to be closer to London, though. Nevertheless, I keep looking for places within an hour or so from London.
