Hi - I’m looking for a calendar app that will allow me to visualize a timeline or calendar for sits, including overlapping ones that I’m choosing between. I need an organized way to keep track of multiple sits while I apply, interview, wait to hear back, etc. Need the space to write details about the sits as well. What do you use to stay organized during this process?
I organize my entire life in Notion. There would be a learning curve in getting started with it, but it could help you achieve everything you’ve described.
this is what my travel/living planning page looks like, lol… (addresses redacted)
some of the info I track on this page is redundant, but it helps ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
I think I would be one-eyed after reading this
Well done!!
I love how organized you are! I always enjoy seeing how other people sort their travel info, especially other long-term travelers.
I personally use a combination of spreadsheet/document/calendar. I have a spreadsheet where I mark down various sits I’m applying to, including info like location, number of pets, date I applied/date I heard back/date I scheduled an interview/etc. and then if I accept the sit or not (or get rejected). The docs hold my interview questions, notes from my interviews, host contact info and copied-over info from the Welcome Guide (including address and emergency contacts). And my calendar has an overview of my travel days/confirmed sits, which I find most useful when I’m deciding between a few different sits with varying dates/lengths. I also make sure to input my hotel/transit info into my calendar, including the confirmation numbers and so on. Perhaps it’s not as sleek as using just one app, but it works for me!
I love it!! #nerdsunite ![]()
