@car it seems like you are putting a lot on the THS vetting process. It’s literally ID verification. For US based sitters there is a criminal background check. Both of these are only done for one person on the account. So, if you are only comfortable with sitters who’ve been ‘vetted’ by THS then you need to only choose solo sitters.
Since this is just a matching platform it’s really up to individual sitters and HOs to do our own vetting based on our own criteria. You can have whatever criteria you prefer.

We weren’t sure either but our first sitters (a few months ago) was a couple who got rave reviews, and they deserved it. For the 2nd sit, we’ve specifically requested a couple and (hopefully) that will go just as well, starting next week. I think we feel more comfortable with a couple than a single person now.

In the new version which is in Beta-Test right now both sitters will be able to verify. Sitters like us who are participating in the Beta-Test-Group already can do that.
We’re living quite remote and have several animals walking, swimming and flying around. That’s why we’re always looking for couples to sit here. Our best experiences are with couples who go from house sit to house sit, just living wherever they are sitting.
