I have also noticed that “use of car included” is only on the web and not on the app. I only use the app so have to go between the two if looking for car use :person_shrugging:

I think this discrepancy will actually lead to more misunderstandings and confusion and do the opposite of contributing to a “smooth sit experience” or both “starting with clear expectations”.

Host A provides all information- Pet can’t be left alone for more than two hours , dog needs to be walked for 90 mins each day etc

Great 5 star experienced Sitter applying on the App doesn’t see any of this info (and doesn’t know that there there is more information to read on the webpage )

Sit is confirmed and agreed.

Sitter arrives and only then finds the requirements and leaves before the sit starts saying this wasn’t in the listing and I never would have applied if I had know …

Or

During the sit Host says I’ve been watching on the doorbell camera and the sitter went out for 4 hours leaving my dog alone . Host raises a dispute saying I stated in the listing that the dog can’t be left for more than 2 hours . Sitter says that wasn’t in the listing .

Both correct - one is looking at web page and one at the App .

I’m having a video chat in a couple of hours with a host. Because there is very poor internet connection where I am, I had to apply using the app which I don’t like using for this purpose. As the extra pet care info wasn’t displaying, I have those questions to ask. Reading your comment @Crookie, I thought I’d better see if I could access the website on my phone. Surprise! Surprise! Dog only to be left alone for 2 hours and 2 hour+ walking which doesn’t suit me. Will see how video chat goes!!

@temba wow how lucky you read this thread! Definitely doesn’t sound like a sit for you now. Good on you @Silversitters @Crookie for pointing all this out, I would have been none the wiser either as only ever use the app.

I’d forgotten about the discrepancies @ziggy because I always use the website on computer. Anyway, will see what eventuates :wink:

Same here. I only use the app and I’m only travelling with my phone at the mo. It would be SO very helpful if the information on the app and on the Web Version was consistant!

@Mark_B @Jenny Please note the very valuable feedback from Siversitters regarding this web-app discrepancy. The scenario she described is not hyperbole.

Can you guys please connect with the tech people and provide an update? (Or is it posted somewhere and I missed it?)

Update! Host understood about 2 hours being very restrictive and has updated listing to 4 hours. Also has a dog walker that could step in if sitter wanted to be away for a longer time. So, all is well :slightly_smiling_face:
