As sitters with THS for eight years, we probably prefer shorter sits. The longest sits we’ve done in other countries is two weeks. We took another two weeks after those international sits to do personal travel. We still do local sits and are quite happy to do weekend ones for a change of scenery even if these sits are just a few hours’ drive from our home.

If we are on a road trip we welcome short sits. It’s great to sit down and relax with some animal company. Post your sit and see what happens. There may even be someone local looking for a distraction from their usual routine. That scenario could develop into a repeat sitter and ultimately a friend. Good luck.
We often look for short sits to fill a gap. If your sit popped up at the right time/place for me I’d apply! Its amazing how refreshing a 2 day change of scenery can be! We even did a one night sit once that hapoened to fill a gap!
