Somewhere in the thread I have explained that I had accepted in error in fact but as there was new information that came to light about a third party handover and dog behaviour concerns when I visited I have declined and the sit has been cancelled.

Nothing wrong in taking on a demanding sit, but it should be done in a transparent way. Truly think this is the best not only for you but also the host as you are both newbies.

I’m glad that you were able to get this situation resolved by the host cancelling and that you didn’t feel under pressure to do a sit that you felt uncomfortable about.
