Can Ijust ask, how do you know this?
Do you mean they discussed this with you prior to the sit, or once it had begun?
Q1. We asked for a photo of our garden, they could not send any so they told us where they were.
Q2 We confirmed them as sitters in Feb. weeks before sit they said they might need to take our dog to another house for a day. It’s an eight week sit, we did not think they meant days away without informing us when or for how long, because it okay for a day and they could easily message us.
Thank you Mendez320. I think long sits like ours get “professional” house sitters, people who are fulltime looking for less moving around. We are looking for a responsible couple with a car for emergencies and able to give a variety of walks for our dog over so many weeks.
When you get comments weeks before a sit, it leaves us in an awkward situation.
Certainly better communication at the time was needed, it was not reassuring for us when we did not get that. Luckily for us we have a daughter close by who pops around for post and checks up on our little lady periodically, without that it would be more difficult to put what happened behind us.
