Sorry for my delay. We’ve had out of town guests. Your feedback is very helpful. I will take your comment about my photos looking like real estate pics as compliments. It may be hard to believe, but they are my home as it is. I did pay for the drone shot. We just moved in the end of October and furnishing the house has been a slow process. Do you think I should put some dirty dishes on the counter or throw some laundry on the floor to make it look more lived in. LOL! I will implement many of your recommendations. Thank you for your insights and honesty!! Seriously.

Sorry for my delay. We’ve had out of town guests. Your feedback is very helpful. You are absolutely correct about using ALL CAPS. I know better than that. My apologies to everyone about that. Ugh. I will implement your recommendations. Thank you for your insights and honesty!!!

Sorry for my delay. We’ve had out of town guests. Your feedback is very helpful. Thanks for calling out the importance of discussing getting the cats inside. Most of the time they come in on their own or come when called. Once in a blue moon, we’ll have a holdout that’s usually cured with the shaking of a treats bag. Thank you for your insights and honesty!!!

Sorry for my delay. We’ve had out of town guests. Your feedback is very helpful. Your questions about securing kitties on GPS trackers is valid. We rarely walk into someone’s yard and most of the neighbors know it’s our cats but certainly a valid question. Thank you for your insights and honesty!!!

Sorry for my delay. We’ve had out of town guests. Your feedback is very helpful. Thanks for the comments on my photos. All the flurry around my house pics has taken me aback. I don’t expect someone to hire a cleaning service. I don’t. I’m happy to talk to potential sitters about their concerns over my photos. Maybe a video chat tour will allay all the hub bub. I will implement your recommendations. Thank you for your insights and honesty!!!

@robyn822, I’m sorry these comments felt offensive. The reason people mentioned them is that when the photos look like they might have been taken for a real estate listing – which yours do – it raises a red flag with the most knowledgeable and experienced sitters, which might mean they decide not to apply, which might be one of the reasons you’ve had few applicants, which is what you came here to ask about. It was intended as valid feedback for you.

If you are a professional photographer or stylist, and that’s why your photos look so great (and yes, if that’s exactly how your house looks when the sitter arrives, that is a compliment), it might be worth explaining that in your listing.

The reason so many people mentioned this is that most sitters want to see where they’ll be preparing food, eating, sleeping, bathing, relaxing, which are some of the most important things about a sit for many of us, and especially important if the sit is for more than a few days. If the photos look like they might be from a real estate listing, we can’t reassure ourselves about any of those things.
