Cats are so individual and quirky. This little guy I’m sitting for instance will tap me gently and sometimes meow to summon me into another room. There, he often just sits under a chair or table and stares at me. He doesn’t usually want petting. He definitely doesn’t want snuggling. He just wants me in the room with him. If I leave my hand out, he likes to rub his head against it every once in a while, but he likes to initiate.
Sometimes, he likes it when I pick him up like a baby and cradle him, but only for a minute. His humans say I’m the only other person he’s allowed to do that.
He’s eating little out of his bowl. But he’ll eat if I toss pieces at him, which he stops like a soccer goalie.
So quirky and lovable. Cats.
