@glenycehughes I am a fully nomadic sitter. As far as things I wish I had known when I started or questions I ask, I make sure to find out if there are any other responsibilities besides the basic pet care and home cleanliness. A lot of times there have been added tasks such as mowing the lawn or hot tub/pool maintenance that were never mentioned in the listing. I try to get a sense of the amount of time required for the expected responsibilities.
I also ask about any pet behavioral issues, such as behavior towards other dogs/issues on the leash, accidents in the house, etc. I always make sure to schedule a video chat so I can get a sense of the home/pet owner and if it’s a good mutual fit.
