Yes I get that. But in those case we were never even ASKED! We were TOLD. I think that’s why it bothered me so much. Had they simply asked it probably wouldn’t have been an issue. When you place demands for a free service then things change IMO.

My original post I stated a local sit. Does it show where I am located?
I also said dog. I didn’t give the dates in the OP.
Just seems bizarre someone would go through searching for the listing. It’s not showing up anymore either so idk.

@Ybrik - you can be assured that location isn’t shown ( unless someone chooses to link their profile - which is not required )
In your posts you quoted the hosts demand to be taken to SRQ airport and also the end date of the sit.

Exactly! And what I think is even more important is that it was clearly a requirement they chose not to disclose in their listing or in your previous conversations. Just a last minute “conditio sine qua non”.
For me, this is not about driving to the airport at all. It’s about accuracy of listing, attitude and tone.

I realize the OP ultimately decided to decline the sit but there were plenty of suggestions as to how to respond to this HO. Mine would have been:
Sorry but I would not be able to chauffeur you to and from the airport regardless of whose car was to be used. If this is a deal-breaker, please let me know ASAP so I can resume my search for alternate sits.
