Going to Catalina for a day trip mid May, but will just see Two Harbors. Which really doesn’t have anything there except one shop/bar and a few houses.

Two Harbors has changed a lot, even Avalon, the past few years. It used to be so dog friendly, not anymore. Once the restaurant, Two Harbors Restaurant expanded their patio area to the beach, it’s really changed the vibe about the area. Two Harbors was my favorite restaurant, but now all the employees we knew have left and our favorite menu items are gone. Their chef left. Plus Covid hit them very hard. It’s sad because we went there every other month for years.
eating at Wrigley, so that isn’t the issue. Don’t expect the food to be good at Wrigley.
Harbor Reef Restaurant is the restaurant in Two Harbors. The Wrigley Mansion is in Avalon and there’s a restaurant on the property named Mt. Ada’s. There’s no Wrigley Restaurant on Catalina Island. If you go to Mt. Ada’s, it is supposed to be a very good restaurant. I have never been there so I don’t know.

Ahhhh, I know there’s a research center right outside of Avalon, but I didn’t know they have something in Two Harbors. You’re correct the food probably won’t be very good there.

No, it is northeast of Two Harbors, far from Avalon. You have to take their boat to it. But it is free. Ferry to Avalon or Two Harbors is about 100 each way. Fisherman’s cove

question Sandydandy. It is $100 one way for the ferry to Avalon. You have to carry all your stuff. I can imagine great once you get there, but it is like a sit on Fire Island. You have to bring everything all at once. Were they going to help you out getting there or the sit got canceled before details were flushed out? Plus, if you had a car, you would have had to pay for parking in Long Beach.

Yes I am. My husband has a boat so we go over to Catalina a lot.

Go to Montreal. I petsat two diva sister kitties there a few years ago and absolutely loved it. So much to see, it’s highly walkable and has great transportation options.

If I was going to Quebec, I would go to Quebec city. Love Quebec city. I have seen enough of Montreal.
