Host profile update- mandated photo categories

Well, if that is your backyard then that is not what I mean at all! lol!

I mean sometimes it’s just a photo of a pretty sky. That’s it. And a beach nearby makes sense but not instead of a photo of the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc.

My point is that sometimes there are photos of things that are not as important as clear photos of all the interior spaces including the bathroom.

My point is I can always google photos of a nearby town, beach, park, lake, etc. I cannot google photos of the interior of ones home.

Hi @Silversitters - I’ve passed @idocsteve 's post along with a link to this thread over to the team  if I hear anything back I’ll let you know.

@Jenny also I saw a newbie owner with a photo of a map pin pointing her location. Reached out to let her know this was a security risk but maybe that should also be spelled out to trusting new members.

Just wondering why this would b a security risk?

Saw this listing posted yesterday, how did it slip through?

(listing removed by Forum team in line with Community Guidelines)

Because her address and dates she would be away are displayed. She may not get a sitter, her home may be vacant and she is advertising that to anyone who checks the site. You don’t have to be a member to view listings, anyone can.

What is wrong with this listing, I must be missing something?

This thread is about images of the living spaces. This listing has none… only shots of the dog…

Ah sorry, I realised I just read the description and didn’t look at the photos :person_facepalming: my bad

@Dee Please report the listing to support. I’ve had luck with that method.

there’s not 1 picture of the house, just the (gorgeous) dog.

edit: I just saw you saw in your reply the lack of pic :hugs:

Out of curiosity: You have a lot of pictures on your listing, as you have a very big house, but why would you not add a picture of a bathroom the sitter would use?

I didn’t want to lose any of the pictures I had already uploaded in exchange for a bathroom which to me is not important. But since you asked, which picture would you remove in exchange for a bathroom picture?

you have the choice between one of the gorgeous Chihuahua, one of the turtle, one of the beach, or the fish pond.

The only candidate of your picks is the beach, as the pet photos come from the “pets” section and cannot be swapped out with property photos.

Sigh.. it does look like one of the beach pictures has to go. As soon as I get around to taking a picture of one of the bathrooms. I guess that means I finally gotta clean it.

well if it’s a category issue, then take out the gym pic and say in your listing that there is a room with a “treadmill, bosu, bench” (that’s the only thing I can see from the pic, but maybe you have sets of barbells, dumbbells, squat rack, etc.?) Anyone interested in fitness will either join a gym, anyone interested in walking or running would bring your doggos on a walk or run (so no need for a treadmill), and for the bosu, to be honest, it’s a very specific prop that isn’t as important as a bathroom.

I’d even suggest taking out one of the pic of the 2 chairs that has a view on the horizon and pool: you have enough pool and outdoor pics to show how beautiful the area is!

I just realised you said you have multiple bathrooms (multiple, I assume, that a sitter could use), so I would even take more pics of the multiple bathrooms, as some sitters might need a shower cabin that has no steps, for example, or some sitters might just be curious to see the bathroom choice they have.

I’ve also reported dodgy sits before @Crosswords_and_puzzles , but the process is not quick and simple as it ought to be.

I was hoping that @Mark_B might respond to my reply…

Hi @Dee

I’ve just checked and the listing isn’t available, so it looks like the team has picked it up.

Hopefully the new features coming soon will help reduce situations where a listing doesn’t contain everything it should.

We’re not able to speculate on what went wrong in this case, but we know the team work very hard to make sure all listings are appropriate, and we’re grateful that you took the time to let the team know there was an issue with this one.

Hi @Jenny , just to update - the team didn’t actually pick it up, I reported it via the ‘bot. Frankie couldn’t fix it, but did eventually put me through to a real person (Thessa) who contacted the HO and pulled the listing.
