That’s all she’s asking? She likely just forgot. It happens when you’re getting ready for your trip and simultaneously getting your home ready for guests. Just take it to the post office. You’ve likely spent more time on here complaining about it than it would take to just drop it off and help someone out.
I think it would depend on the frequency of these ad hoc requests, but also the manner in which I am asked. If I have really friendly, welcoming hosts and am asked in a polite/apologetic manner, I would probably be fine with it. If I were to be asked in a less polite, or ‘ordering’ kind of manner, I would have to excuse my way out of it.
It all depends on…
If there was a one off “errand “ that can be done whilst I am out and about anyway then it would be no problem for me .
If this was to be done at a set time or the location is difficult to get to ( like if I didn’t have transport and the post office was 5 miles away and only open for two hours once a week and it was a heavy parcel that I would have difficulty carrying ) then I’d decline .
If this was a daily request or multiple times a week then I might decline or say I can take them only once a week and set the time according to your own convenience .
