Never say never! I decided a few days ago that I wasn’t going to allow world events or one person to upset my life and lifestyle so no matter the additional cost and concerns, my trip to the UK and Europe is back on. I’m just going to make it work. Life is too short to worry about ifs, buts and maybes.
I will be once again in Bath from the 5th May to the 17th May then Winchester from the 18th May to 6th June if anyone is around and would like to catch-up. I know a couple @Debbie@BonnyinBrighton@MerryPuppins and maybe @Smiley were originally hoping to make it as well as anyone else that would like to meet this crazy, talkative, sometimes outspoken, but very nice, loveable , sweet Aussie Hope to see you soon.
Great stuff @ziggy, beats staying at home and shouting at the TV. I might be able to make a meet in Winchester on either 11th or 12th of May, it’s a great place. We at least share something in common, he who cannot be named.
That would have been great @TheEnglishFlaneur had I not originally made a mistake with the dates I quoted. Winchester is actually the 18th to the 6th June.

I could try to meet up with you in Bath weekend of 9th May if that works? My only option really. I love Winchester and have good friends there. I’m seriously considering moving there in the next year or two. I’ll message you for your WhatsApp number.

So the dates could work for us then Smiley for the weekend of the 9th in Bath. Hopefully @Debbie might be able to join us. Winchester is one of the few UK cities I haven’t been to so I’m looking forward to that one.

@Cathie I never cancelled my original flight, I was just going to be a no show. Too expensive to buy one now so luckily I still have the original ticket. My friend just changed her flight to Europe from Qatar to Turkish Airlines, got a good deal. On my return to Oz (probably Vietnam first though) I’ll probably be taking the long way round the block, flying with Turkmenistan Airlines via Ashgabat. @Brightlight has flown that route before. Crazy route but far cheaper than the others to Oz. Anything can change between now and end of year though so I’m keeping my options open.

Oh that’s great @Debbie, maybe you might like to coordinate with Smiley if you plan on coming to Bath together. Let’s lock that weekend date in at least for now and liase as time draws closer. Looking forward to meeting you
@Oztravels cooee!!! Sounds fantastic. Definitely keep in touch and let me know your dates and we’ll lock something in if the planets align for our dates. I think Aussies are not so much outspoken as open and VERY chatty with a dry sense of humor which can be misinterpreted for the uninitiated
