Induction hob woes

I’ve neen swearing profusely, but in English. Maybe I should try in the hob’s native language.

Sorry I can’t help I’ve had the same problem recently
Ended up eating a lot of toast
I know for sure one day appliances will be the death of me :face_with_crossed_out_eyes:

I hope you have solved it by now.
I have no idea what model it is but perhaps there’s one specific button that you don’t know what it is, that might be the child lock. The ones I know usually take longer to deactivate than the other buttons. For the other buttons a slight touch is enough, while the lock one needs to be touched for several seconds perhaps even 10.

Years ago I sat a home with an induction cooktop. I figured out how to turn it on with no problems but all of the pots were handle-less. It took me 2 days to discover that there were 2 detacheable handles to be used on all of the pots!

All sorted now, thanks to a teenager in one of the other apartments in the block. There’s a sacred ritual that I wasn’t following precisely enough.

But you can’t leave us in suspense! Please tell us what the sacred ritual is - it could be a lifesaver to some of us in the future :rofl::rofl:!

I recently had a screwtop bottle where the top would not separate from the bottom part (which was too loose so you couldn’t grip it). I googled and found it’s a common enough problem that it has AI advice specific to that wine.

SAME!
Nice to know I’m not the only one :folded_hands:t2:

Some RV and camping pots work like that, too, for weight and limited storage reasons.
