And this is before the £9 fee comes into effect for lots of users. This place is going to be so disappointing for people like this once the fees kicks in if they’re struggling now to find sitters.

Or, the fees won’t actually make that much of a difference because there aren’t good alternatives especially for those who are struggling on the largest pet sitting platform on the planet and of the small percentage of the THS membership who are upset over a small booking fee, many will either not actually leave or will return after they try and fail in the other sites.

Yes, I’m still turning down sits. It will probably balance out at some point, with hosts leaving if they can’t find sitters they want to match with and some unfortunately having bad experiences with sitters.
It’s easier to attract hosts who need sitters than people who’d actually be good at sitting.
Many people might be drawn by the idea of staying somewhere without cost, but relatively few folks are good carers of pets and homes, especially when they’re looking to sightsee, like many do.

I’ve noticed over the past year it’s relatively new HO too, who are somewhere semi-rural and seemed surprised they’ve joined up and haven’t had any applications. THS marketing probably makes them believe there’s an army of sitters waiting to do free pet care.
