After 3 1/2 years full time housesitting/travelling during which time I rented out my home, and before then but the pandemic hit, I’m going back into my home in Cheltenham on Tuesday. I won’t be giving up housesitting, just slowing down for a while.
Anyway, it would be lovely to meet up with THS members (owners or sitters) in the area.
My current availability : 28 July - 11 August; 18 August - 31 August. I’m on a repeat sit in Stonehouse from 1-12 September and could bring my charge, Connie, along. @temba would that be of interest?
I know that @VanessaW, @Karen_E, @Highfive & @Debbie are keen to meet up.

Hi @Smiley, great idea. We finish our Newbury sit on 9th Sept and fly home on the 12th so maybe 10th or 11th?? I know this doesn’t work though for others.
It would be great to meet up. @Highfive is in the area until 4/8. What days would suit you & which part of Cheltenham are you in? I’m in Tivoli which is next to Montpelier

Haven’t thought about that yet! We do have 2 friends already to catch up with.
We are in Leckhampton. We walked to the house from the train station and passed through that more central area so I know it isn’t far at all. I have a really flexible schedule so you just let me know what works best for you.
Let’s go for Monday 28th then. Maybe a cafe in the Bath Road for brunch?
I am on my way to the UK shortly and will be in the Cotswolds at some point. But as of today, I have neither any dates nor places planned.

We are nearing the end of a 6 week local housesit in Charlton Kings. After that we’ll be at home in Cheltenham, except for repeat housesits from 2nd - 6th August and 17th - 25th August.
I may be free on the morning of the 28th July.
Okay. I did a recce yesterday of the cafes’ menus in the Bath Road and suggest we meet at Moran’s at 11am on Monday 28th. They do brunch until 1145. Look forward to seeing you and hopefully @Debbie too and anyone else available. I’ll get there early to grab a table outside is possible & weather dependent.

@Smiley and @KC1102 unfortunately I am notgoing to be able to make brunch tomorrow.
The boys and I are volunteering at a geocaching festival just north of Bristol, and we didn’t get to finish marking out all the camping pitches today. So we’ll have to go back down there earlier than planned tomorrow so we can get them all sorted before the campers start arriving at 2pm.
I know @Smiley and I will be able to catch up another time, but sorry to miss meeting you @KC1102 . You always give such great, thoughtful advice on the forum. Hopefully our paths will cross again!
