Continuing the discussion from Mold in a current & future sit:
I have just arrived and this morning looked up to see black mold in bedroom and bathroom. I will likely have a respiratory reaction to it over the 3 week sit. I’ve opend all the windows (in the cold UK). When the woman comes to clean on Wednesday, I’ll ask her to use white vinegar to clean it off if its possible. The owners are in Asia and there are two active dogs. Any thoughts or advice here?
Contact THS support to end the sit if it’s going to impact your health. The owners have broken THS T&Cs by not providing a clean and safe home.
Agree with Crookie - cancel it, if you can. Having lived in mold, it isn’t wort the toll on your health! If you can’t cancel, do everything you can to limit your time in the house, getting outside as much as possible to breathe fresh air. Support your health with diet and supplements as well. This is how I would handle it. Hope that helps and sorry you’re in this situation!
Please consider that this might just be mildew which is very different to the black mold that is hazardous to health.
