Must not leave cat alone for more than a couple hours

@Debbie . . . Agree. With this 2-hour window for cats, I imagine it is more a case of HOs instructing the sitter to ‘do as we say’ not as we do. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Yes…but

@idocsteve we were at a camping event over the summer where one camper had brought her 9 cats along! I also recently saw a Burmese on a lead spectating at a grass roots football match. There might be a few cat sits where the cat is accustomed to coming along on adventures, but I expect they are few and far between!

That has major red flags all over it. I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole!

@anon51505808 I saw a very similar sitting somewhere in Italy for which I applied, but then changed my mind quite straight away.

The sitter was allowed to leave the house just for a few hours in the afternoon, had to stay in from late afternoon until early afternoon of the following day. I posted a similar message on some other page here in the Forum.

Despite that, the sitting is very popular. The HO was sorry that I had withdrawn the application, I was asked if I was interested in another sitting taking place 9 months later and I was welcome to join the waiting list
