Just received this notification to message our next HO
This is starting to get ridiculous. Won’t intervene in real issues between hosts & sitters, “manage the comms yourselves” is the general THS message back. But happy to interfere in the minutiae of sit planning between the two parties. #prioritiesguyspriorities

We at least have started to get “your sit is in two days “ e-mails actually sent two days before .
Didn’t screen shot it before deleting but we also got one along the lines of… How are you enjoying your sit, why not sent your host an update! I think the link was to the THS inbox to do this.
This is about our 8th sit here and we might do an update every 3/4 days just to say we are all still alive. 45 odd sits down do I really need another email clogging up my inbox to remind me to update the HO! Also I never use the THS inbox for this, much prefer WhatsApp.
There seems to be a drive on to get us to use the THS inbox more, not sure why that would be a thing.
They need to radically redesign the inbox or at least put it back to how it was. I communicate off site as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the blooping sitter calendar doesn’t actually function, so HO’s waste all their time sending invites and then we all sound like broken records helping them understand the same issue on the forum over and over. Priorities indeed
Our next sit starts in 2 days so I presumed it was in reference to that. As you see from my above screenshot it doesn’t mention the HO name or location even. As the link goes to the inbox I would have to scroll down 29 message threads to message that HO. No need of course as we have coordinated last week via WhatsApp.
However the last message I received in my THS inbox was from a homeowner asking about our arrival time for their sit (happening in a few weeks). I followed up via WhatsApp though so now I’m wondering if the notification is actually in reference to that as I didn’t reply via THS

Patronizing and totally inaccurate. In equal logic, it should be the owner getting the commiserating message. It’s you who declined.

Sounds like it’s time for a vote so THS sits up and takes notice of the issues that need addressing and stops sending these annoying messages which only serve to wind us up!
It wouldn’t surprise me if we start getting messages to tell us to make sure we leave the owner enough toilet roll upon their return
@Smiley - if I remember correctly there used to be a Vote button at the top of the Forum. As I can no longer see it I assume it has been removed. Who wants to listen to the views of paying members anyway?
You’re right, there was but it didn’t seem to make much difference
There was an unofficial poll on the forum in October 2023 regarding the 5 application limit. 86% of voters hated/disliked the new policy.
Look how that turned out.
I guess I am going off topic so I will leave it there.
I wish they would stop tinkering with stuff that works perfectly well and doesn’t need “improving” and get on with correcting the bugs and making the improvements that members have been asking for.
