Sit invitations

Exactly, you could have someone with 10 reviews that were all weekend stays, or you could have someone with five reviews, and each of those days was 2 weeks or longer.

This could be remedied by assigning point values to sit

X points every y days
X points for the number of pets
X points for each star rating

Hi, I’m not a homeowner, I’m a sitter. I have received invites because I have liked and saved their sit and so they have reached out to me to see if I’m available .

Earlier this year a pair of sitters announced upon arrival that they would have to leave a day earlier than agreed upon, while I was still overseas, because home for them was halfway across the country. It would have been nice if they had let me know far enough in advance to get someone else, but it was the day before my trip. Fortunately the neighbor across the street took care of my dogs for a day. I do look for 5* reviews, but I now also look for sitters within a 5 - 6 hour drive so I will never have that experience again. I extend private invitations and will only publicly post a sit if I really can’t get one on a private request.

I ,as a HO pick from the sitters who have saved my listing. I get more help from them than reaching out randomly. I rarely have someone who is " available " from random picks.
