Sitter Confirmed!

Ah we do plan to drive our RV across the border - but sitting is not for me. My hubby would be fine with it but I simply cannot say goodbye to the dogs/cats I spend time with. It would break my heart each time and I would end up depressed.

I salute the sitters that can do this, I just don’t have the emotional fortitude

Turns out the person I had the Zoom call with is perfect for my needs. Yay!

Nice!!! Now you can relax…just need one right match and all’s good!! Enjoy your hiking trip!

@ShulasMom, multiple pet parents have commented similarly to us.

Probably not representable but we’re almost fully booked until end November - including multiple month duration repeat sits. Perhaps half THS, half non-THS (personal contacts, referrals).

Good luck in your call.

Thanks. I found someone for my Fall trip but it’s always good to know local people.

Have a great time in Canada. I did a fabulous petsit in Montreal with 2 cats that I nicknamed the Diva Sister cats—that’s exactly what they were. Montreal was wonderful. Enjoy your journey.

Thanks! I’ll DM you - we should try and meet up at some point

That’s wonderful you finally got a sitter booked for your trip.

Due to some of the things I’ve been reading in the forum about travel costs for sitters and other related information, we invited local sitters to our sits and this has worked well for us so far. While most sitters would love to travel the globe the new fuel costs and a reduction by some airlines in flights now, it might be more appealing for someone living in your own state or one state over if it’s not too long of a driver for them.
