Yes my husband thinks that something better came up & they needed an excuse to leave, but who knows.
Sitters with 50 5 star reviews would not be compromising their reputation for something trivial. As weāre only hearing from one point of view, we really donāt know the full situation.
We donāt know anything about the security and safety of the neighbourhood . Not being able to secure a property would be a big concern to me . THS terms say that a property must be safe and secure .
The previous 50 x hosts who actually had them as their sitters would disagree with you .
We are only hearing one side of the story from the OP.
If they had a serious falling out maybe one might leave , but would they both leave together ? 
Itās all very strange & disappointing. I also have good reviews on here & another site. One of the sitters we had last year is now a good friend & is currently living with us for a few months, she is shocked & said that sheās had some challenging sits in the past but never did she ever consider leaving.
The only things I can think of is that they saw another sit that they preferred 
& if sheās done something like this before then thereās a possibility that the HO never left a review.
FYI I keep referring to her even though there were 2 of them, as it was only her I dealt with.
I was trying to be more discreet but if u really want to know itās 4.
Youāve made feel better about all this, your situation sounds worse! Donāt let it put you off too much, I have met some AMAZING people coming to sit for me. One of them is now a close friend. Our 1st ever sit about 9 years ago was also not good & it made me very wary, but it taught us a few things when finding a sitter & hence as I mentioned above, have met some amazing people
