Suggestion fir getting a first pet sit

React to sits in your neighbourhood. That way you can visit the HO and meet the pets maybe more than once.

We did this recently and are now petsittng a short distance from our house.

We are taking care of two dogs (Golden Doodle and a Labrador Retriever) who are very energetic and sweet and we discovered that they love to run with us in the park.

It was great that the HO was willing to go out with them and us two times for the sit to be sure we are a good fit.

Maybe this can help new sitters to expand their experience and we can help each other with getting great matches.

And this is also a great way of discovering your own neighbourhood in a new way and making new friends.

Wishing everyone great matches and joyful win-win combinations!

@Becca the labrador we sre currently loking after would have gobbled up that food in no time!

One of the spaniels we just finished a sit with would probably have swallowed the plates too!

They are very well trained by the HO! Super grateful for that as it makes these kind of experiences possible!

I wanted to give you my reply, but it became a comment and I am tech clueless how to delete my comment and change it in a reply to you :woman_shrugging:

This was my reply to you: They are very well trained by the HO! Super grateful for that as it makes these kind of experiences possible!

Now my comments became spaghetti/mess :face_with_peeking_eye::joy:

I still havent worked it out on here, so I just tag the person @EmilyDickinson
Some folk seem to know, so they might let us both know

@EmilyDickinson unfortunately the forum software used here doesn’t allow the functionality for replies to comments to be shown indented under that comment.

If you click on the reply button below the comment you want to reply to, it posts your reply at the end of the whole thread but with a link at the top right showing who you replied to and you can click this to see the comment replied to. The exception to this us if you reply to the final comment in the topic / post. In this case your comment is underneath the one you are replyong to, so for some reason it doesn’t show who you are replying to at the top.

If you click the reply box right at the end of the thread, it puts the new comment at the end of the topic / post. This looks exactly the same as if you replied to the last comment.

It is messy and becomes difficult to follow!
