Using the map to scroll is pretty hard if you want to find sits in Europe but want to exclude the UK. Not impossible, but hard and annoying, as you have to keep going back to do it.
I agree there is a lot of U.S. and Australia house sits too!

As some of you have spotted, we have added a new sort by recommended option to the website. @Snowbird has kindly added a screenshot above.
We’re currently trialing this new feature with a handful of members, to see how sitters interact with the search. This will be running for the next 3-4 weeks and we will keep you updated with the results and whether this becomes a permanent change.
This was not announced as we don’t want to draw attention to what is being tested. Tests of various types happen from time to time and the nature of a test such as this is not to announce it as this can affect the outcome and results.
@mzb I am very sad to hear about your frustrations and I want to reassure you that we are making improvements to search over the coming months. We will also be looking into the duration and pet filter issues outlined.
