The last minute cancellation of a month long sit ( which THS can do nothing about ) on the same day of the booking fee announcement ( along with the suggestion that a charge of £9 by host and sitter would make everything run smoothly from now on ?!) was the final straw .
We were already headed in the direction of paid for sits and paid for holidays in 2026 , but this sealed the deal that THS sits won’t be part of the plan going forward.
Wishing everyone well (including any newbies to THS ) have a great 2026 whatever you are planning to do .
We’ve had a great time with THS and I’m sure many will continue to do so - it’s just not working for us anymore .
