I have a subscription to NordVPN, I’ve installed the app on my Fire Stick. I then configured the app to automatically connect to a server in the UK on start up. When I switch on the TV that I’ve connected the Fire Stick to it also starts and within a very short time the VPN is connected. I can then start the iPlayer app and others that dependent on a UK connection. It’s quite easy to set up.

Yes. That’s what I do too.
I do the same as @TheEnglishFlaneur. It’s very simple. Just download one of a number of vpn apps available through the firestick app ‘store’ and subscribe. Works perfectly.
