I just had my first pet sitting job. Atlanta area and it went well. I gave a 5 star review and received a 5 star review
Right now, I am just sitting for others, but may consider signing up for sitters to watch our pets.
Question; while I was sitting, did the home owner have the ability to track me through the app? I did walk the pets daily, but also met some family for dinner in the area at times. Just more curious if u are able to see when they may walk your pets
Which app? Sorry your question is a bit confusing since your heading references cameras. Can you clarify?
Hi @Mfranch87, there’s no way to track sitters using THS app, thank God!
It would be a bit creepy for sitters, wouldn’t it?
Regarding tracking sitters, some info that you would find useful
HERE
I find that surveillance tracking is against the platform’s core concept: matching people to reach a mutual agreement based on trust, remaining as cornerstone true love for animals.

There are apps to track how long you walked the dog and you would see something on the collar or harness unless hidden. Most PP have ring camera outside their door in the US that I have sat for and it tells them when you leave the house and when you enter so they can track your dog walks that way.
OK, these are ALL good comments and helpful. I was referring to the TrustedHousesitter app and whether the home owner could somehow track you in their TrustedHousesitter app. Sound like they can’t
This home owner did have security cameras on the outside of the house (3 of them), but was honest & upfront about them all in the welcome guide.
I did actually happen to look on the dogs collars and did not see any kind of “device” so wasn’t worried there. And yea, I guess a doorbell camera could possibly be used to see when someone has left to walk the dogs. I have one and will maybe consider this if we decide to sign up to look for sitters.
Like I said, all went good for my first sit, so nothing alarming and just curious. Thanks for the info
