Thatās fine by me. I havenāt used Zoom since lockdown so will have to upload it.
Iāve just had a look & there are a few. Which do you suggest as the two I looked at charge?

This is a great idea. Iām a solo traveler most of the time (my daughter joins me sometimes). itās always nice to be able to meet other sitters.
Iām US based, currently in Canada on sit #60. Iāll be in Michigan all summer, then heading up to Vermont, Maine, and Nova Scotia. Then back to the UK - Iāll be in Chester for 6 weeks in October/November and in London for Christmas and New Yearās. If anyone is in any of those places, Iād be happy to meet in person. Otherwise, I think zoom is a great idea!

I have a paid version of Zoom, which allows me to invite you. Then my meetings can last longer than 45 minutes.
As I am inviting you to the Meetup, you donāt pay anything. And I can host up to 100 people at a time.
If you get a free download of Zoom, you should be able to use it yourself free for calls up to 45 minutes. And for up to three people at a time, if I remember correctly.

Just remind me nearer the time? Iāve got quite a lot on before then and would be disappointed if it didnāt happen. Prestbury is quite nearby. Although I will be housesitting in Stow, my own home is in Charlton Kings.

So this great wheel ( think London Eye) is in Cheltenham now.. Ā£8.00 for a spin..
for people near on a sit or Home Owners. Itās not permanent .. check the date of departure..

Oh, what a shame, Iāll miss it. Itās coinciding with Cheltenhamās Jazz Festival by the look of things. For those of you in or near Cheltenham, thereās always free jazz in Montpelier Park during the festival and food stands. Well worth going when the weatherās nice

The first Sunday Meetup is happening on Sunday 5th May.
We now have 5 lovely people who have shared their email details with me, and I have sent out a zoom invitation to them.
This is for a weekly Meetup on a Sunday at 7.00pm UK time. The first one is on Sunday 5th May 2025 at 7.00pm BST.
There is no pressure to come every week, but I wanted to host one weekly, hoping that at least one person will join me for a chat.
You just click on the Zoom link that I will send to you to join the first meeting. I will use the same link each week. You do not need a Passcode.
Please can you arrive on time for a prompt 7.00pm start. I have made space for 1.5 hours, but you can leave when you are ready.
I just ask that you let us know that you are going, so we can say Goodbye.
I thought that one question for Sunday could be:
What do you love most about housesitting solo?
And also:
Please share one funny story of a house sit that went a bit wrong.
If you have any topics that you want to share, please feel free to make suggestions.
My hope is that this will be a friendly, happy, positive, and supportive space for us to share our housesitting experiences.
Occasionally we may want to vent frustrations or fears. Or to ask for advice if we have a sticky situation.
And I hope that we can have a laugh and some fun together.
It is a Zoom Video call, and so please can you keep your videos on at all times. Blank screens always feel a bit odd to me.
It will be fun to meet your furry friends, if they happen by.
I do ask that what we share in confidence, on these Zoom calls is kept private. The housesitting world is smallā¦
I really hope that this will be a positive experience, and leads to real life meetings and firm friendships. Who knows, maybe a chance to find romance?

This sounds great. Tomorrow I start life as a digital nomad. Have pet sits set up in US through beginning of September. Want to travel to Europe for two months starting in Sept.

Yes, Iām very interested, and thank you for taking the lead. I solo sit as well, but at times, it would be nice to connect with others and maybe even co-sit on some of the more complex, aka farm, sits. Iām on my 22nd pet sit in Reno, Nevada; Iāve been on the road full-time since late November. Iām loving it!
