We’ve been offered a 3 mths sit on Jersey CI UK late Dec to mid February. They’re new HOs who joined after we met walking dogs on a beach at St Oeuns and they invited us to their lovely house for coffee and chat. We were on a sit at the time and explained all about THS to them… anyway my question is this, we can’t do their whole 3 mth sit but I’ve offered to do a few days for them in September to get them their 1st review and might be able to do the last 2 weeks in December. Are there any older/retired sitters interested in doing the 3 mths or maybe Jan/Feb with a handover from us as I can chat to you privately if you’re interested in knowing more.

I visit Jersey every month I’m there 26-29th July and will meet up again with Kerstin the owner of two nice dogs one is elderly and only needs one walk a day the other one has two walks. They have a large old house 5 mins walk from the beach. They’re very nice people the house is clean and tidy. I liked them very much.

Yes they’ve joined THS having met me whilst I was doing a sit. I’ll meet them for coffee this weekend….and get more details. In the meantime: 2 smallish dogs one was I think a terrier type cross, the other might’ve been a dachshund? Well behaved beach dogs they go on a lead on roads, and behaved nicely with the bouncy dog I had. They live at St Oeuns.
Just to let any interested sitters know the HOs created x3 listings. I’ve now accepted the 14Dec to 1st Jan listing and the 9th Feb-23rd Feb listing. The middle 6/7 week listing will be appearing shortly. The dates are flexible in the middle ok.
If you don’t mind me handing over to you and you back to me this would be a great team-tag sit for ultra tidy clean sitters without dramas or complications!
Update: all x3 listings are now filled. The middle sitters and ourselves had a long discussion by messages then a long video chat then we let the HO know about our handover arrangements and practicalities. The other sitters have 16 great sits, we have 6 and it’s a very good match so we’re overlapping for 36 hours (it’s a 5 bed house). I’ll let you know how it turns out …..
