I am planning on having a friend traveling with me next summer. How do i add her so she get her background check and owners are aware?

Welcome to the forum @929. Only the account holder (you) is verified/background checked by THS. What you should do is include information about your friend, especially their experience with animals, plus one or two photos of her as well, again, hopefully with pets, in your profile. Home owners may also request the two of you are present for any video chats prior to confirmation or you could offer the two of you would be available for the video chat.
