Just posted a sit for the first time since last April and see there are some changes. Have the number of applications changed? Are they still paused? If so, where do I find it?
Thanks

The applications pause at 5 but if a sitter has the page open before the pause they can still submit their application- at least this was the situation when we listed our dates a couple of months ago.
We have gotten as many as 8 since so many sitters apply at once as soon as there are dates listed.
I don’t know of any recent change. Our last posted listing was back in late October. It’s always been a little tricky. There is an automatic pause once you have 5 “active” applications. (Sometimes with a popular location the number is slightly higher as there might be invitations in progress that come through after five are there. I sometimes have 6 or 7 applications initially.)
Once there are 5 active applications in your box, the system automatically pauses and your sit appears as “in review” to sitters who can’t apply. You can see on the dashboard that applicaitons have been “paused.” In order to get more applications, you need to both decline some of the applications you have AND look around for “manage” the sit or wherever it is to “unpause” and get more applications. Once you unpause, you’ll be able to get up to five again total.
Generally, as a homeowner in a popular location, I decline anyone who isn’t suitable immediately, and try to get more great applicants even as I try to arrange chats and get things settled with people who’ve already applied.
