Not everything we care for enjoys a good bath. Ducks most definitely would but some cats would be reluctant, for sure!
Any stories to share about bath time with pets in your care?
I had a shower at a housesit and when I got out there were Alsatian size footprints from the garden that had clearly followed me in! Stalker alert! ( The owner usually showers with the dogs, so the dog was probably upset about not being invited!
Here’s a French Bulldog Pure Bred- clearly not an ounce of Labrador!
Someone got a shower after they rolled around the compost pile at the community centre park, on a sit in the U.K. She was super stinky, because I think in addition to waste from a community garden, there might have been fox scat and horse manure.
She was proud of herself and enjoyed showering with me. Such a funny girl. She loved rolling around in smelly things, which apparently many poodles do.
Bath time outrage: Someone wanted to talk to the manager afterward. Not happy with the services!
Wanted damages, in the form of carrots or greens, apparently. Barking mad for them.
I bathed this funny old girl every week, because of skin allergies. She also got an extra bath, resulting in this photo, when I noticed poop hanging off her furry behind.
Yes, it was 43° for nearly a week in Perth in January 2025 then it cooled to 39°! I texted the HO asking if she’d mind us showering with the dogs every morning lunchtime and evening!
They loved it, we used their special shampoo on them…. then just stood under the shower together….
What bathing beauties!
Well this is a thing in Thailand, apparently.. please don’t spin dry your cats and dogs!
I’m amazed that this needs to be emphasized.. must have had a mix up in the laundry at some point.
I’m not going to complain about missing a sock ever again!
My husband usually bathes our dog to welcome me back from trips. He knows I like a clean dog. That involves bribing our dog with whipped cream and a new toy.
Welshmist Bailey, the pedigree Persian cat, who was passed on to me when his owners moved to a no-pets apartment, arrived very matted and stinky, and loved a bath or shower, thankfully. Every opportunity he had he’d be out in the garden getting dirty. Bathing a Persian shows how tiny they really are under all that fluff!
(after a bath, waiting for his next meal to fly in)
(not nearly as grumpy as he looks in this picture)
