I’m hoping you can all help me with a concern. I’ve been sharing my positive feedback with TH with family and friends. Many of these couples are not members yet but are considering a membership.
My concern is when they go onto the site and click on the drop down to “Find a Sitter” and my husband and I are not there. All have tried searching different ways (EX: State, Our First Names) Our bio is active and its seems only existing members can find us. This is making us look bad as we refer others.
I have contacted TH regarding this issue but really got the run around that went something like ‘we don’t have enough room to post everyone’s bio’.
Can someone provide me with some feedback. This just doesn’t seem right.
You should be able to send them a link to your profile. Even members can’t search for others by name on the website, if they’re your family and friends can’t you just show them your profile? I think non members might be able to search for housesitters by area, but they could be doing so for a very long time so best to give them the other options
If they are not members @OurSeniorAdventures123, they will not be able to read sitters’ profiles. They can only access certain info about THS as non members.
As @Smiley has suggested, you can easily share your profile link with your friends and family so they can read it.
Have your friends created a free membership? If not, this is required for them to view listings. However, even with the membership, it can be challenging to find a specific sitter, so as others have said, it’s best to share the link to your profile.
Why not just tell them, when you talk about the site, that they won’t see your profile if they’re not members…? I don’t see how this makes you look bad.
