Started house sit that will last 10 days long. Unfortunately work men next door. Been pretty noisy. Disappointed to see they have arrived this morning, started work. I thought work is allowed in England on a Sunday as long as no noise. Hammering away!
Do not want to complain to homeowners not their fault. Maybe workers think they can do what they like because owners away.

Have you asked the workers how long the work will last? It is pretty annoying, but as you rightly recognize, HO can’t control the entire neighborhood.
Hopefully it’s a short project!

Re how long work will last. I have had 2 major renovations myself. Not easy, but I would never allow them to work late into night or a Sunday. Builder was here last Thursday, Friday. Off Saturday and today. Fingers crossed, just may have finished.
