Just wondering what it looks like from the Home Hosts side. When you are searching for sitters to invite, are you able to invite them without even opening their profiles?
The reason I ask if we keep getting invited for local sits during a time period that we’ve stated very clearly we are fully booked for.
Our availability calendar is also blocked out, but knowing that these are difficult to use, I thought a “We are fully booked through June” message at the top of each section of our profile would suffice.
This shows that the hosts are not even looking at our profiles before inviting us, which is a red flag and a deal breaker. However, if they are being prompted/encouraged to invite sitters through, say a thumbnail grid, then it’s a problem with the UI.
So, if it is possible to invite sitters without even opening their profiles, I’d suggest removing that option. If not, I’ll just chalk it up to people not reading and keep declining and archiving.

No, we do need to open the profile first. But when we do open the profile, the ‘Invite’ button appears there right away.

Speaking from experience, a lot of HO do not read sitter profiles before inviting them, presumably and maybe understandably due to desperation.

@CatsAndDog can an owner send out an invitation en mass to all the sitters that they have previously marked as favourites or to all sitters that have favourited them?
Yes, at least on the website we can @Silversitters .
I did it once to a selected group of sitters who had favourited our listing. I did at the same time, when I posted my dates. I explained it was not an actual personal invitation, but rather an open door to communicate with us now and in the future.

I understand that, but it still drives me crazy. You think you’d want to at least look at the first sentence of a person’s profile before entrusting them with your pets. As it is, we are getting an invite almost every day for dates we are not available. As there’s no response rating on Trusted like on some other sites, I’ve just started declining and archiving without a message.
