Your review is not seen until she post hers. In other words, she can’t see your review and you can’t see hers until you both have submitted a review.
And if she doesn’t submit a review and you do, yours will appear after the 2 weeks wait time and hers will be blank. She still won’t be able to submit a review (although she can comment on yours).
The “bad sitter” won’t be able to read your review until he posts hers. Please write an honest and thorough review so that others are warned about this sitter. Imagine if you had read YOUR review about her written by another HO…Would you have appreciated the warning ? Everyone will benefit …except her, of course.
It should be a requirement for the HO to pay all expenses related to the pets. How do they get low on food? Did they not prepare? We are both HO and sitters on THS. We overstock on pet supplies so our sitters don’t have to be out of pocket. We keep a credit card on file at the vet in case our cat gets ill. I expect the same from HOs when we are sitters and tell them so.
I don’t understand. I had plenty of cat food. The sitter asked me to buy groceries for HER. Organic fruit, salmon, pasta, very specific items. And to be reimbursed for travel.

I mentioned in my comment it’s common courtesy to pay back if sitter rebought food for the pet. In this case the sitter asked for money for travel expenses. The owner already bought food for the sitter which was very kind than the sitter asked for bamboo TP? I could never message the owner to ask hey pay me for my travel expenses and specific toilet paper. That’s just weird
In my opinion that sitter should be banned from the site. I also think any talk of money from either side should be banned. If you want money go on one of the other websites.
This person had the audacity to ask you to pay expenses and get them their very expensive shopping and then call you rude?!

I agree with MagieUU. Disappointed if you didn’t leave a review. First you were afraid not to give her the money she asked for and now you are afraid to review her. Do you see a pattern here? You said she doesn’t have a car. She would probably ask you first for Uber money before she comes and burns your house down for leaving a bad review. Please just leave a factual review. She doesn’t sound like the violent type, just greedy. She has probably moved on to another unexpected victim and you are not even a thought in her mind. Just write you were taken off guard when sitter asked for reimbursement for transportation and other items for her stay. Because of her many demands I had to end her stay early. You don’t have to say more than that.
You are just stating the facts and nothing more.
omg this is truly awful, I’m so sorry - and you’re so generous. Back in the early days of THS circa 2016 HOs would offer to pick me up from the airport, would take me out to eat or cook dinner for me, and offer to pay for groceries - one HO even filled the fridge with my food preferences, and ended up booking their house every summer 5x years in a row. People were so incredible and generous - but that was their choice, and an expression of who they are as people - and I’m still friends with all of them. But for someone to expect or demand that - that’s entitled and rude. I see is this now resolved and ope you contacted member services and end the sit. I wouldn’t be surprised if this person was banned! But keep being your kind & generous self, it’s so appreciate when there’s reciprocity of kindness and generosity.
