Thank you. Good to know. I thought it was me!
The problem is that you don’t notice it as a sender. It took me a while before I realized it works that way. First I was just surprised that the messages were not in my mailbox. When someone I invited asked questions that I already answered in my invitation mail I was alerted.
If the problem cannot easily be solved technically, I should suggest to write a simple notification on the invite page, like “Send your mail first, then send the invite.”

Earlier in the thread there is a box that states the topic has been solved.
This is incorrect.

I believe that that only means that there was a good answer in the thread (your answer, I think, on July 9, where it says in green: “Solution”).
THS seems incapable of fixing any problem with the user interfaces.
