Thank you both for your advice. It’s really helpful to hear from people that have experienced this before. Cheers Gilly
Many thanks for your thoughts – I decided to duck this one!

Thanks again everyone who gave me their views on how to handle this sit. I acknowledge that the job interview type approach is entirely valid but I am choosing not to engage with that process – I am retired after all!
Having experienced a family emergency recently on a sit all I can say is the support we got from the pet parent, THS management and the community we were staying in was over whelming.
Thank you to everyone who helped us at a terrible time.
The start of 2023 has been devastating for my whole family but we are getting through it even with the extra problems being piled on. We are still pet sitting but locally so we can all be close. I have never opened up to any of the HOs about what’s going on but they are all so kind and accommodating, letting us have visitors who can stay over, understanding when one of us has to go away for a few hours or days and just being thoughtful.
This community is awesome. Please never change.
Hi @ElsieDownie
It is never easy when you are facing trauma of any kind, and I am so pleased to hear about the caring and wonderful community that gave you the support you needed.
