Hello. I tried to follow earlier conversations, from a few years ago, and they got me more confused than I was to start.
What, if anything happens, if I favorite a sit, whether on the app or on the website (earlier remarks suggested there were different result, which seems beyond ridiculous to me)?
Does one get notifications or emails from THS when a favorite listing posts a new sit? That would certainly seem logical, but I cannot say I’m getting any.
On the flip side, is there really no way to categorize favorites? Whether by pet variety, dates or locations? This seems easy enough in 2026.
Apologies for the frustrated tone, but sometimes THS technology seems like amateur hour.

I receive alerts when my “favorite” listings post new sit dates. Make sure to check both your settings on THS AND your phone settings to allow the alerts.
This is a very helpful feature.
My understanding is that some (or all?) owners receive an email when I favorite their sit, and those owners may choose to review my profile. I have received sit invitations based on this.
When you view your list of favorites, there are a few filters. Look in the upper right hand corner of the frame. As far as I know, there is no way to organize your favorites, but the filters might be helpful to you.
I receive notifications on my phone about favourite listings, although most of the time they’re not particularly useful because there’s rarely a match in terms of timing and continent.
Apparently, you can save your search settings, but I find that these don’t always suit the broad way I search. So I still end up checking my preferred countries or continents every day.
And oh, how wonderful would it be if you could hide listings you’re not interested in! It’s so time-consuming to keep clicking on the same listings on the map, just in case one of them is new.
Thanks for both responses. I have just added one of the filters (only search active listings) and I have been invited for sits, so maybe that was because I had favorited them. I’m not sure. But I’m definitely not getting alerted about favorites (or maybe I and the alerts don’t mention that I had favorited them, as would be logical). Again, I think it’s ridiculous that can’t put them on folders. Thanks.
I agree with you that a way to organize “favorites” into folders would be nice! It might take awhile for you to receive an alert about a “favorite” with new dates. It will happen. I promise.
Hi @RichardNYC to mention that you will notice the ‘Big Eyes’ on the listing notification when it comes through, which indicates this is one you have favourited.
Never realised or noticed the eyes on listings before @Therese

What about adding the ability of sitters to put favorites on folders? Any chance that might happen? Maybe you could ask for that?
