Just this morning on Facebook I saw a video of a young couple who live in B.C. who are sitters with THS. They mentioned they’ve been sitters with THS for a few years and are currently on a sit in Northern B.C. and explained how much they were enjoying being members. Just curious - do sitters volunteer for these video chats or does THS reach out to them?
Meant to say video ads instead of video chats!
They might have signed up for THS Tailblazers and posting on their socials for the rewards so THS can leverage off their followers.
Oh that could be it!
Well, it could also be that they’re just doing it for themselves — to get more invites or share referral links, which might eventually cover the cost of their membership. There are plenty of reasons why someone might promote THS.
For example, I’ve designed postcard-sized flyers — one for sitters and one for owners — each with specific incentives. I leave them in supermarkets or cafés, and they include our referral code (not our sitter profile, since we prefer to choose where we apply ourselves).
Edit: Just as a side note: it took me very little effort — it was more of a fun little filler activity while waiting at the doctor’s office. I enjoy doing things like that, since it used to be part of my job. So it wasn’t really about trying to save on the membership. In general, I hand out more of the owner versions. The more sits available, the more choice we have I usually leave the owner flyers in areas with houses I really like, because I’d genuinely enjoy sitting there.
